As I delve deeper into this project bike things keep making me swim deeper. 1999 softail, Im trying to figure out what the donor bike was for the front end/forks. It reminds me of an fhl or similar. Any ideas?

Didn’t the Softail forks have a fork lock on them? These do not. The forks have no fork lock and it wasn’t cutoff. It actually came with a padlock for the rotor. This just has me a little stumped.

Yeah that's kind of weird that that isn't there as the rest of it, tin ware and legs looks early Heritage. Wonder if it was cut off and re-painted? Maybe someone will chime in with a model that had the tin ware lugs but no lock plate, I don't remember one though.
