Maybe you need to change your fork oil. The bike should'nt scrape on everything. HD puts in # 10 oil which I think is too light for a bike that size.# 15 is perfect,no scrapes unless on running hard in the corners. 2cents.
Thanks for the info Softy.
Do you notice any affect on the comfort of the ride? Is there a lot more stiffness or is it even noticeable?
Why don't you guys with floor boards have some fun with it?
Get a couple of pieces of titanium (think that's what they use on those frame dragger cars) and stick it under where the boards hit.
Then the next time you scrape them it'll be like a miniature 4th of July fireworks display.
Could be a real hoot if nobody knows they are there when you do it, especially at night.
We don't have many straight roads at all over here they are all "Twisty" and I scrapemy boardsquite a lot when I am having some serious fun but you soon learn how far and how fast if you don't want to scrape. I tend to scrape the right side more than the left and there is quite a chamfer on the edge now but what the heck ! It certainly puts the wind up rice burners when they are on your tail and see how far the bike is leaning ! Great Fun
First time I scrapedI scared the he!! out of myself, didn't realize I was leaning so much, so Iinstalled big radius pipes and now they scrape before the floorboards.
