be surprised if they didn't . one way to find out is have a look . once you get used to the scraping then it becomes no big deal and you find your're riding more confidently
grzly
the floorboards do hinge upwards ... so enjoy the ride and replace every so often
Do they hinge on all of them? The floorboards on my 99 Fatboy don't look like they hinge.
Just grab one and pull up hard on it. It should have quite a bit of give. Use a rag or gloves. When they scrape they get sharp edges and even shavings on them.
Yep,
Scraped them coming home from the dealer just feeling out the bike....scared the ***** outa me until I realized what it was. Don't like scraping. Did it 2 more times in the next 2 weeks and that was because the road was crowned the opposite way on a particular street corner.
I just took the Experienced rider course from MSF this week and scraped the floorboards 4 times doing the course! Never got above 20 MPH. The instructor was cracking a smile because I was cussing everytime I did it. You can avoid it however by using the whole path of travel and shifting your weight a bit on the seat.
You can mostly avoid it, but in your course I'm sure they taught you accident avoidance maneuvers. When you do that basic "slalom" turn in a hurry you'll scrape.
