2014 Softail fork oil change

Default 2014 Softail fork oil change
Good Morning
I'm making my way through my new bike and it has about 22k miles on it. I have a few questions about oils:
Should I change the fork oil? I picked up some 20wt fork oil from the local moto shop - is that correct for this bike? Sorry, I don't have a manual...
I did the 3 plug oil change and the engine and primary oils were NASTY. Should I change them again as a flush?
Any input would be great. Thanks!

I believe the recommended mileage for fork oil change is 50k.

Yes, I read that but I figure it's already over 10 years old. I'll just do it an check it off the list.

Fork oil is not very expensive. Depending on the model most softails are not difficult to change so why not.

Agreed! So would 20wt be ok? I've read to put in about 13 oz per fork. Sound right? Thanks

Measure the oil after you drain it. It should be about 16oz.

You need to get a factory HD service manual with all the necessary information needed to complete this task correctly. If you over fill the oil level, you will likely damage the oil seals. If you underfill the oil level, it will affect handling.
