Default Options for 2002 S&S 124 w/ TC Heads Exhaust

I've spent a lot of time searching and reading as I look to understand what my options are for the S&S 124 in my bike on a 1998 Fat Boy frame. I've got plenty of experience with the HD touring platform but not Softail and certainly not the S&S 124 hot rod machine I just bought. The folks at S&S said they don't make anything for my setup any longer and didn't know off-hand where to send me.

It has Samson pipes (see below) and the thing is LOUD(!!). I can appreciate the free breathing that's happening with those pipes but I'd honestly prefer something at least somewhat quieter. The D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 with louvered baffles seem to one that may work on this S&S "V" series engine (S&S told me that my particular build is the Evo style block with twin cam heads. I think that'll work with the D&D but I will call them tomorrow and look for pictures of the Fat Cat on an older Fatty.

Have any of you seen the D&D Fat Cats in the wild? How is the quality? I don't want to have pipes that extend back too much further than this but something with a baffle is surely going to be longer. Maybe ~12 inches would be OK, I suppose. My hope is to find something quieter and deeper but also want it to look good on this sort of setup.

I know it's ultimately a matter of personal preference but any opinions for a setup like this would be great.

That motor combo, Twin cam top end and Evo bottom end, is called a Fatso motor. They were more popular in the early 2000s. To your exhaust, as long as they aren't B2 heads (which I doubt they are) then the mounting flanges are the same twin cam to Evo, so any exhaust for your year/frame bike would work. I guess I'm not understanding what is making it hard to find exhaust. Are you asking what would yield the best performance with the 124? If so, anything 2:1 that fits your bike with a stepped header, preferably, would be ideal, but I dont think youll notice much loss with a straight header pipe exhaust either. D&D, Thunderheader, Fab28, V&H, etc.

Not really having a hard time finding exhaust. It's more wanting something more quiet and to make sure the Phattail kit won't present any issue if the muffler portion extended toward the rear axle. The thing is a beast but I don't need to shake windows as I ride by. I was settled on the D&D Borzilla but the pics I saw, it looked like it angled UP and I want something parallel to the ground/frame. The Fat Cat is level to the ground but it may extend further back. Yeah, purely cosmetic concern there, I'm not ashamed to say.

The 55 MM inverted front end only shows a part number on my master list of six pages of components that went into the build. FB55EG-SC is the part number, that’s all I know.

The brake calipers are Performance Machine as are the wheels, rear pulley and brake rotors.
