Default Ideas for Brake Light on Phattail Kit

My '98 Fat Boy has a Performance Machine Phattail Kit installed. The builder of this bike installed only small bullet turn signals and a brake light in a vertically mounted license plate frame. I don't know how anyone would notice the brake light like this. As much as it'll ruin the clean look of the wide-*** rear fender, I'd rather not ruin my spine be being run into since I ride in traffic.

Do any of you have ideas around options that would work for that surface? Of course, as minimal as possible, but I've got to have something visible.

I don't know about the shape of your fender, but I mounted this on a 2006 XL1200 with no problem for a turn signal relocation.

As for a brake light, if possible look into a BAL.

Thanks. Yeah, I’m a huge fan of the BAL product. The Phattail fender is wide and flat-ish. Accommodated a 240 width tire. I’ll take a look.

Can you post a picture from the rear of the bike? Maybe a few angles?
You could do a triple play kit. Change the turn signals into run/turn/brake. You're probably going to have to make something custom if you want brake light on or under the rear fender.

Yeah, sorry about the angle. I know it’s tough to tell how flat/curved it is from the side photos. I just don’t have access to the bike as I’m traveling again but this is a better angle and found the red one online. I am planning on needing to have a custom solution.

Consider a low-profile LED brake light strip. It can be mounted discreetly under the fender edge for high visibility without ruining the clean look.

Although I like the look of your fender, I'm at a point where I want to be seen.
The rear lights on your bike are useless.
Sorry. You need to drill holes and get creative.

Consider buying another pair of the bullet lights, wiring to the run/ brake circuit and mounting them on the next lower swing arm bolt

If you don't mind mounting directly to your fender you could maybe use a 1940 ford tail light it may fit the curvature.

Get a low-profile LED taillight strip. They're super bright and can be mounted discreetly under the edge of the fender to keep the clean look while making you much more visible. Kuryakyn or Custom Dynamics make good options.
