Default RE: replacing grips and levers......

Got the levers and grips done last night.
The levers were VERY easy (10 minutes a piece)
The grips took alittle longer. The left one was easy the throttle one was abit difficult. Those damn brass fittings are a pain. But I got them both done and they look GREAT! Glad I did it my self and saved some $$$$. Will put up some pics later today.
Thanks for all of you guys help.

Excellent! See, it wasn't so bad.. There's a saying that goes "don't drop those brass bits on the end of the throttle cable, cuz you'll never find them".

A follow-up question regarding grips:
I also bought a replacement pair of metal/rubber grips. I'll follow your advice about the tape and the left grip but on the throttle side, the replacement grip has a slightly larger i.d. on it: do I cut the stock rubber grip off and slide the replacement onto the stock plastic sleeve that attaches to the throttle cables?

Thanks for your help,

Old as dirt.

pretty cool!!
Are you going to do anything further with the switch housings? Chrome or leave black?
On the nighttrain you can go either way I think.. Infact, I'd leave black myself on that bike.
