Default LED light bar wiring question

My question is I bought a Eagle Lights 6" Generation II LED Projection Light Bar with Plug and Harness for Harley-Davidson® Softail and Dyna Models - 2500Lm and I was wondering where I can wire into an ACC wire that would handle the load of this light bar and not fry the circuit. The reason I ask is I wired it up the way the manufacturer recommended with a built in switch and wire harness that has an inline fuse and runs of the battery terminals. My issue with this is the little RED standby LED that’s on the switch to say it’s off, stays lit all the time when the light is not on and I’m afraid of the parasitic drain on my battery. I would like to wire it so the power to the switch would turn off when I turn the ACC off. This is a 2022 Harley Street Bob and was wondering if you could also tell me the color of wire and what wire to tap into for this light. Thanks in advance!

I believe that standby LED will always be on unless you put it on a switched hot 12V wire. The parasitic draw of that little LED light is miniscule. If it really bothers you, change the switch out to a normal one without a light. Something like a normal toggle switch. Get a marine one that is less likely to corrode. That's what I did on my last bike I built to power the fog lights. Red wire direct to the battery to an inline fuse to a toggle switch to the lights. Worked great and eliminates any chance of parasitic drain. To get the right answer, get the factory service manual for your bike from HD and look for a switched ACC wire in the electrical schematic. Honestly, with how complex the wiring is getting in HD's, if I were you, I would wire it as simply as possible like I laid out above. Tapping into existing wiring is asking for trouble if you do not know what you are doing.

This is what I mean by marine toggle switch:
Marine Toggle Switch Marine Toggle Switch

thanks for insight. I’ve never had issues wiring anything I even do a lot of my own wiring on my four wheeler and pickup truck as well. I was just interested in finding out the ACC wire to make the switch turn off or even get rid of the switch and just have the light wired to turn on when my headlight is on and forget about the switch. I have the manual as I bought the bike brand new. The light at 12V the amp draw is 1.275 amps. Would I be able to wire the light right into the headlight on ACC wire?

For that low of draw, you may be able to cut tap your headlight feed. Your only worry (and a very small one) is that is would be one with your high beams which may be against the law in your area. Check the amp draw of your headlight bulb, add it to the 1.275 and see what the total draw is. I believe you would be fine. However, I would still leave it how it is and just change the switch if the red light bothers you. I am not a huge fan of tapping HD wiring. To me it introduces another point of failure. That is also why on bikes I have built I use a simplified harness. KISS is my motto.
