I finally got of my *** and scheduled the swap. I have an 06 fatboy that had the 8* injectors. This morning, Thunder Tower Harley in Elgin, SC did the swap for me. It took them about 45 minutes for the swap and the download. I can't really tell if there's a performance change, but it seems to idle better and it hasn't stumbled yet. It doesn't seem topop on decel either.
Did either one of y'all have to pay for the download after the dealer replaced the injectors?
Well, thisis a sore subject for me. When I took my bike in to get the download (pre PCIII), they put the "Race" download on my bikedue to my pipes, A/C,etc. When I tookit in tohave the injectors changed I asked threedifferent people if there would be any charge, they all said no. I pick up thebike and they charge me $202.00 for the download, due toit being the "Race" download, and not the "Street Legal" version. I was furious, so theyexplained they really did me a favor by not requiring me to take the bike back to stockbefore doing thechange out. I explained, thatjust b/c they didn't follow protocol, don't think I am paying $200.00 whichthree guys assuredme I wouldn't incur. So anyway, I called Harley corporate and after a long drawn out deal, I got my money back.
