Let me start by saying I could be the most unmechanical person on the planet. I decided to give it a go to change my own grips. After reading all there was on here and talking to others, I knew I would lose those little brass fittings. I wound up getting one of my kids old easter baskets and hanging it from the handle bar as I did the deed. Darn if it didn't work!! Dropped the fitting but was able to find it very easily!! Neighbor came over and cracked up, but when I found it right away, he wanted to borrow the basket. Was not pretty , but sure did work. Long and short of is that I got the job done by myself. One happy camper here!!!

Now if you told us you were wearing an Easter Bunny costume while you did it that would be a different story....
Good thinking, I have a grip change coming up too.
