Default Installing a Shift light on a 2007 fatboy

Has anyone installed a shift light (oem) on the 2007 softails. I have the part that fits 2004 on bikes but I know that the new bikes have a new setup. I suspect it would work but it would be nice if I new that it will actually work before hand.

Kind regards

I hope there is an answer to this, i am looking for a programmable shift light (adjust the light without a tach) for a HD.

Well, I never had one on a bike, but used them on the race car for several years. It sounds like a good idea and it's probably a little cheaper than a tach. Problem is, after you've been riding the same machine for any length of time you can pretty much drive it by ear. My guess is, you'd use it for a while, then pay no attention to it.
