Best Engine Harley Ever Made

RE: Best Engine Harley Ever Made
Sorry guys... Get ready for some possible blasphemy.
Speaking from experience, which includes 5000 miles onmy yellow 2006 Street Rod, it would have tobe the Revolution, aka, the V Rod engine. There is no other engine that MoCo has ever produced that can touch the virtues of this engine... period. Hands down, that engine doesNOTknow when to quit! Itpulls and pulls through every gear. You can begin shifting through the gearsanywhere you want as well as sometime after you hit +60mph in 1st gear (almost 9000 RPM), and the bikelunges at every shift thereafter.Given the gear ratios, it BEGS for a 6th..., hell, even a 7th gear! The Street Rod does have it's limitations, and none of those limitations have anything to do with the Revo Engine. The problem with the Revo is that it's owner, MoCo, just can't seem to get its arms around the full potential an engine like the Revo has. I will say that unlessthe MoCo finds and creates the right chassis, with proper brakes, suspension, ergonomics, etc., that would NOT include the creation of a cruiser style bike, or, better yet, hires someone to do it for them and still market it as aHarley Davidson Motorcycle, this power plant will always remain leashed.
Ever since I traded in my yellow 'Rod for my '07 Fat Boy, I have not looked back when I consider my Fat Boy as my cruiser. The Fat Boy seems to haveall that one would want and expect from a hard core cruise. I've got over 3000 miles on it. In my opinion, MoCo did it right on the Fat Boy.
But, oh, do I miss my Revo...
