Need ideas for mounting running lights down low.
I need a better lit, front profile. I have read that three lights in a triangular setup is best, for recognition, by cagers, coming toward you and making left hand turns.
I would like to mount running lights, fairly low and wide apart. My problem is, I don't have an engine guard to mount them to. The Kuryakyn ergo engine guard, with the optional light mounting kit looks perfect, but I have read that it won't fit the SE Fat Boy (because of our 2" longer floorboards).
Any ideas?

I'm on the hunt for the same thing. I am fully aware of the three light recognition by cagers and alike. I want more light but would definitely like something other than the "light bar" thing.
Any help on this would be great!
Thanks

I saw a guy on another forum who had them mounted under his floorboards. Some sort of high powered bullet looking light.Looked like they were mounted right to the front bracket somehow. That would give you some width and be lowfor sure.
Look at customdynamics.com, they have PIAA and Halogen bullet lights, one mounts on lower forks so you could use a crash bar. At custom dynamics page it is under headlights/driving lights etc...At about middle page.
At headwinds they have a "light bar" but unlike one that is normally seen, then with the bullet lights it looks pretty cool. Also have larger spots on a cool light bar. It is in middle page under Fatboy, new style & classic style.
