Has anyone put a Deluxe rear turn signal bar, or similar on a Heritage ??? The issue is how far back the bullet indicators go in relation to the stock saddlebags.
Looked at the HD ones, part no.68617-04,and it looks like it will go really close to the saddlebags.Does anyone else eg.Kuryakyn do one that fits.
Let me know if anyone has put something similar on.Eventually when the bike gets new paint i will put a tombstone tailight on.
Moggsy, I have put the bar the deluxe has on my Heritage. It works fine with my saddle bags on but... I can tell you that I have the detachable setup for the sissy bar and this pushes the bags out of course. So I don't honestly know if without the detachable hardware it will work with the stock bags.
I put it my Heritage Springer..No issue with the turn signals..In fact that's why I put it on..I hated bumping the signals when they were on the struts.
The bags on both bikes are similiar in size and shape
In the stock configuration the shorter turn signal bar will not work on the Herritage. Now as stated above, if you have either a quick detach sissy bar, or have the quick detach hardware for the saddle bags you will have no problems. Other wise, if you dont have either of those two add ons, the shorter turn signal bar will hit the bags.
Just to clarify before i pull the trigger,if i get the deatchable sideplates 53815-00 and the docking hardware 53931-03 it will push the bags out enough so the signal bar 68615-04 will fit with rubbing on my saddlebags ???
