Default Hooker exhaust

Im leaning towards the Hooker troublemakers for my 07 Night Train and just wondering if any one has had any experience with them? Im partial based solely on looks but Im somewhat hesitant after a local shop advised that Hookers won't hold enough back pressure and I'll burn up my engine. I previously had a sportster 1200 w/ SE slip ons so I dont have much experience different exhausts. Thanks for the input.

i was advised against hookers because they only look good and u wont gain any performance. pretty much any pipes with stepped headers are a better way to go

Hmmm . . .
I was told with Hookers you're paying for experience - not performance.

Ohhhh - wait - what were we talking about?? [:@]

I had a bubby who had these on a NightTrain. Looked really good and sounded even better. Never heard him complain of any damage or performance loss.

I have these on my 05 Springer. Bumped the displacement up to 95 inches, 211 cams, and a PC III. Currently hitting 90 hp and 90 ft lbs torque. I'm not complaining.
As for the sound, it's more of a crisp series of explosions rather than a deep rumble bumble. I LOVE IT!!

To each his own, I don't have the Troublemakers, but I do have a set of Fourbiddens, and I can tell you I gained performance for sure! I had the Yaffe X-pipes and had lost all bottom end, sold them, bought the Hookers and haven't regretted it for one minute. I gained all my lower end back and then some. They also sound great. If I could change anything it would be that they use a crappy "ceramic" coating, it's more like a black oxide coating instead.

I too ran the Hooker Fourbiddens for almost a year. Probably less BP than the Troublemakers and I did not "burn up my engine". I still like my Pro Pipe better though.
