Went to reset my tripometer on my 2000 Fatboy....
I pressed the reset button and turn the ign swith to Aux.
The following displayed:
d01clr....and every time I pused the trip button it would
advance to d02clr, d03clr all the way up to d10clr. After that
it would display CAL03.
I could find nothing in the owners manual what it means.
Usually I turn the ign swith on first, but this time I pushed the tripometer first.
Any knowledge?
you just checked the onbord diagnostic codes "ie" do1clr=diag#01 clear(good thing) you must of held the trip button in while you turnd the ign to aux............whell, at least this is what I was told!!?![sm=chattypair.gif]
I have a 2000. I've never seen that. 2000's are carbureted, so there's no ECM. I've never turned it onto the aux posn before either. I re-set my trip-meter by clickin it onto trip and pressing and holding the button until it resets to 0.0
I usually do that (after) I fire it up (leaving) the gas station.
I usually reset my trip=o=meter that way also (ign/aux on then push-and-hold the trip reset button).
This last time though, I pushed in the reset then turned on the ign/aux switch.
I too, think it is a diagnostic position....but I couldn't find out what the codes mean or
even if there was a problem.....what it woulddisplay.
Nothing is mentioned in the owners manual, and I haven't ventured into my shed to
dig out the repair manual yet.
