Engine Building
I am shooting for the numbers you indicated, but am doing so with a 120" HQ build. To get to this number, you will have to split the cases, replace the crank with a longer throw, bigger cyls, and a few other upgrades to handle the power (tuning system, clutch, etc.) You indicated you don't mind spending the money so start doing the research. I do know of a few running the 107" builds that are in the 120/120 range. 107" is the max you can go without splitting the cases and doing other bottom end work. Even with a hot 103" build, the crank is the weak link on the late model (06-07) 96" bikes and should be something that you talk to the builders about. I do know of a few that have also had crank issues with the pre 06 bikes. Talk to Doug at HQ, Steve at GMR, John at Darkhorse crankworks. They will all add to your knowledge of what you can do within certain parameters. In other words, don't do anything until you have the complete package in mind and ensure that all components will work well with each other.
