I was not "happy" with the 96" low and midrange performance so at the 5K service I decided to go with the SE 103" stage II. I love it now, I'm very happy with the 255's....they pull niceall the way through the rpm range. They seem very similar in performance to the 203's used in the 88" ('99 wideglide) that I had before the Night Train. Sure, you can get more out of different cam grinds but a lot of it depends on what type of riding you're going to be doing. I do a lot of high speed interstate riding but then need the low rpm grunt for riding in the city traffic here in the NYC area. For performance andreliabilty I strongly recommend the 255's. I don't think you will be disappointed.

i will have to agree with ny_rebel. i myself put in a 103 on my custom. are you going to bore out ur jugs or replace them. when i did mine i replaced them and put on high comp heads. i did the heads becouse i put a woodson 650 cam in it becouse i do a lot of 2 up riding. my guy that did the work for me said that i would be able to ride 2up and get the pull through the gears like i was riding by my self. i will say he was not kidding. and now when i ride by my self i have to be a little bit careful becouse the back end can break free pritty easy hehe. and i love it

I picked up my 08 FXSTC a few weeks ago with the 103 kit installed from new (along with V&H BSS exhaust). It came with SE 211 cams and although I only have 400kms on the clock it feels good and strong especially low-mid range. Given it is still running in I'm sure it will get even better

I have the 95 big bore with 257 cams they are mid to high end cams. The bike is strong from first through 5th I am quite happy with them I am also running screamin eagle heads on my ride and in my opinion heads are a must for true proformance.
