Does anyone know if they are installing the modified float assembly say in 05 models? Also, exactly what was changed to solve this sticking problem?

All of my bikes before my Harley SS had very sofisticated gauges. To operate you either rocked your bike back and forth and listened for some kind of liquid to slosh around or unscrewed the thing on top of the tank and looked inside. Worked good back then and should work good now. I do understand what you are saying about if it's there it should work. So if it wasn't there would you then have nothing to say about the subject? If you have a $40,000 Ford and the windshield wipers quit working during the summer, do you complain about it and say it's not a $40,000 Ford or fix it and drive on?

What Fuel Gauge ?
I ride 200 to 225 miles, I fill up.
I always go by the odometer anyway. Never failed me yet.
