I have a heat gun... heats faster and get's hotter.... but hair dryer should do the same just need to hold it on there a little longer.
I put a small peice of cardboard... like the back of a notebook pad down on it first and then pried against that with the butter knife under the metal frame.
Thanks all. i got it.. .heat. dental floss, and fingernails... Thanks all for the help . even tho it 40 out. going to go for a short spin and try it out .
Voyager.... I got the same low shield from Memphis Shades that you did. Only in Gradiant Black.
You just need to heat them up a bit and then use a butter knife to get under them and pry them a way. They will come... once you get enough up just use your hands and pull away being careful not to bend them. It may seem like it wants to bend or not come off but it will. I just restuck them back to the new one and put the bolts back in. Fit like a glove.
took a spin with the new one on. could not go far. too cold !!! how do you like the 15 inch size ? at least i can see over it now... really sucked looking through the stock one. those must be made for guys about 6' 4" !!!!
I haven't gotten but two rides in with it. But from what I have I don't see it to be a major deal with me. I like the sheilds smaller. I am 6'1" and even I had to look thru the glass sometimes. I slump alot though also.
I like the gradiant ones also over clear. I had a memphis shades on my last bike as well. Good stuff.
