I pick up my (Almost ) new 07 Deluxe next month... It will have stock exhaust system on it . What mods would you guys recommend to get a better note .... bearing in mind I dont want my neighbours to hate me.
Cheers

That's why I keep mine stock, they are already too loud stock. However, after 12K miles in the odo I am starting to see knicks and scratches here an there, nothing serious, I justmight replace them at the 20K mark.
Like someone has posted, ride it as it is and enjoy it.
I have the Screamin Eagle 2 slash cut out slip-ons (part#80448-03)on my heritage. I started out with the HD slant cut down sip-ons (part# 80378-00). They were ok but not quite loud enough to suite me. I really like the SE2's. They are loud enough to get noticed but I don't think to loud to cause problems.
Depends on what your looking to do, you want looks or performance?

Dude, you didn't say if this is your first Harley, but if it is you gotta get past the "neighbors hating you" thing. All my neighbors hate me and that is the way I like it. The phoney bastards mess with each other but don't f... with me.
some great advice and ideas there... Yes 06FXST this will be my first Harley so no doubt I will be calling on you guys from time to time for advice and opinion.
At this stage I think i will take SPIKEHYRE 's advice and do nothing for a while, enjoy the ride and look listen and feel. Then down the track I will have a better idea what I want.
Here are mine. rush slip ons, i has 2.25 baffles but set off the car alarms. now i have 1.75 and they are quiet enought that i can hear the engine running. If you want loud go with 2" baffles. The nice thing is i can change the baffles to what i wanted. baffles are cheap. check my link and you will see closeup of the baffles with stock heat shields. The rush cost me about $240 delivered
