RE: Can I replace the tins on a Deuce with another Softail set?
ORIGINAL: Apostle
the more I look at the rear fender, the less I like it...
keep the tins, chop the fender. go to the deuce picture forum and check them out. im sure the guys over there can help you.
it took me awhile to get used to my deuces rear fender.
the best thing i did to make it look better was chopping the license plate bracket, moving the license plate up closer to the fender made it look a lot better.
dont change the tins!
RE: Can I replace the tins on a Deuce with another Softail set?
I "think" it will swap out, as long as you swap everything. For example, the Duece seat will not fit anything else in the softail class because it is shorter because the tank is longer. So, if you swap the tank, you must also swap the seat to go with it. Fenders will swap out. I have not tried this swapping, just have measured my standard up side of a Duece and a Heritage and a fatboy. The frames all appear to be the same. If anyone has found this to be in error, please speak up., Wallacem in Georgia

If it's just the rear fender that's bugging you, I'd just look at replacing that. Maybe check out the DBO rear fender that Hogpro has, or look at having yours chopped and customized. If ALL the tins are bugging you, then it sounds like you bought the wrong bike.
