Not problem, just have to make sure that you measure twice and drill once. I started out with a small drill bit so it wouldn't slip.

Does you heat shield cover the bolt that holds in the baffles? I know it does on the Dyna version.

It doesn't on the Softail model I have. Easy access.

I did mine (QB on BSS) almost a year ago and had the same easy time that azdeuce had. Did it while bike was on the stand, never removed pipes or heat shields. As azdeuce said, only tricky part was lining up the set screw hole while sliding the baffles in. Did it real slow and felt for the hole as I eazed them in and it was no problem. Every bike is a little different so my experience might be different on a different bike. I liked the bassier sound of the new baffles right away and definitely felt a bit more low end torque but like I said, every bike is set up a little differently so your mileage might vary. I've been investigating some engine work for this summer and I'm getting advice to lose the BSS. WTF, I'm already on my 3rd set of pipes and really like them. I thought the new V&H BSS with the power chamber was a good choice for low end torque.
