Called Hot Toppers today because thetappet block bolt covers I had installed have cracked. The lady on the phone asked if I would be interested in trying new covers for my rocker boxes that they are trying out because of the cracking. I said sure and she is sending me free rocker box bolt covers in black and replacements for the tappet block bolts. Thumbs up for them.
I went on a Hot Toppers & chrome Allen bolt cap insert binge over the winter. I may be addicted. I am afraid that when I finally get a chance to ride, these things will be flying off all over the highway.
Funny. I was thinking about that when I was putting them on my wife's bike. Sucks to be the guy who will have to get these off to work on anything. Of course, I left a few off that went in places no one will ever see. For the rest I used a tiny dab of Silicone to make sure they don't fall off.
The comic irony is that it will likely be me that has to take these off since I do a lot of the wrenching myself.

They should for what you pay them for a handful of plastic covers
Your not kidding, was in the dealers yesterday and saw a set for my Softail and they wanted over $100. For that kind of money I'll wait a bit, save up some more money and order aset of polished Stainless Steel replacement bolts and nuts.
