Im about to order some new wheels for my bike. I've decided on Hogpro LeMans series wheels. Im going with an 18" rear, and a 19" front. I'll be using a 200 rear tire, and a 120 front. Anyways, i'm looking through the hogpro website and i see the black magic series wheels. Now i cant decide on is if i should go with chrome lemans, or try the black magic series which is basically a contrast cut wheel in the dominator style. I've always been a fan of black wheels with machined lips or accents and even have them on my f250. After my wheels, i was going to do a set of gimp apes and my forks, so if i went with the contrast cut, i could do black gimps and black forks. My bike has quite a bit of chrome now, but not enough that i still couldnt powder coat some things black. My bikes in my sig pic, help me decide.
I'm liking the idea of an 18 out back and a 19 up front. You may also want to consider a 21 x 3 wheel, that way you have a nice beefy front tire to go with the back. And with the size (read height) of both those wheels it'll set your bike apart from the rest. IMHO black is beautiful, but hey, I have a Night Train! I think the contrast cut wheels are really sharp would be very cool on your bike. I like the black with your bike because, as you said, you have the chrome to help offset it. I also like those bars you're thinking about. From what I've read I really like what you have planned for your bike! I can't wait to see pictures of progress.
You've got some great ideas.
I like the contrast cut too.
I wouldn't go any bigger than that19" on the front.
I wish I had done 18" front and rear on mine, but it's too late now.
Go black. My front end and bars are off and going to the powdercoater this weekend. Still can't decide on wheels, either contrast cut or black rimmed spokes, but I'm definately going with a 21" front. I have tons of chrome on my bike and I'm sick of seeing other Fattys that look the same. Black is the new chrome.

Blacked out bikes suck! (j/k)
Check my sig. I made the contrast cut wheels on it. I love the black look. My black Nash Gimps are on order and should be here next week.
I say black wheels, black out the front, and get black bars. But I warn you, the powdwer coating thing is very addictive as you can see from my pic.
i just orderd my front wheel today(cant afford the rear yet)im going with the black sin a star from pro one .they have chrome ones where you can but the black inserts if you dont want them too black
I don't care for the contrast cut in aluminum
Not that I don't love the look, I just don't like the upkeep of polished aluminum as the contrast. Black & chrome contrast?
Now you're talkin'!
If I were to buy another set of wheels, I would be going with the black & chrome Bones from Ness.
Meanwhile, I'm thrilled with my Xtreme Machine Cyclones..
BTW CNC guy, your bike is one of the nicest I've seen.
