Default Le pera King Cobra

I have a 2007 and looking to replace standard seat with a full leather Le Pera King Cobra seat. I understand the wear and tear issues. Just wondering if anyone that has one installed can provide some feedback on comfort levels based on distance travelled and any other helpfull info before I spend the bucks. I understand it would not be suitable for long distance.

IMHO Seat questions are one of the hardest to answer.. Problem is everbody is differant, What works for one will not work for someone else... seats like Le Pera and corbin tend to be on the stiffer side.. They take a while for you to break them in... I think it works both ways you brake in the seat and the seat breaks you in. I have a Le Pera Silhouette and can ride a long day on it... I think mine has a little more padding on it.
Seats are like handlebars you wont know how it feels till ya put some miles on. I have been on a harley for about 35 and ride with alot of long time riders and many choose the firmer type seat. I am sure you will get good advice on here, look at your riding style and do what best for you.

Thanks Guild.

I have been considering the silhouette also.

I have been worried the King Cobra might be suited more to around town.

I understand that Le Pera have two Silouettes. Standard and one with more padding.

Only the standard is available for the deuce though.

I appreciate your thoughts.

I never rode a bike with the King Cobra seat just sat on one
It felt much firmer than my Silhouette... they do have the
Deluxe Silhouette that is supposed to be more comfortable
than the standard Silhouette.... Many years ago ( I had a 56
panhead) i had a pillow seat on the bike someone gave me
a used corbin i put it on the bike, On the first ride i felt like i
was sitting on a rock my butt was hurting, They told me to
Stay with it and i did... Since than all my bikes have had the
firmer type seat... they do take time to break in and can be uncomfotable untill they do but IMO are a more comfortable seat in the long run go to le pera's web site and look at the Silhouette and the Deluxe Silhouette.... They also offer gel inserts but i dont know anything about them. Good Luck

I have a cobra.....it's a hard seat. I can do about 250 miles......I think maybe they might have the "GEL" option with it?
