I was playing with the idea of a big bore on my 01 Heritage. My indy convinced me that a good set of gear driven cams would do more. I went with 510 S&S cams and was amazed at the increase in power. I haven't put it on a dyno but but my seat of the pants tells me all I need to know. I may do a big bore and head work next winter but if you're only able to spend less than a grand I would do the cams first. Don't let anyone tell you the gear drives whine. They do make a bit of noise but it's more of a growl and I like it.

James, my scanner took a sh*t so i took some pics of the dyno sheet.... sorry they didnt turn out to well.
the Blue lines are before the big bore kit, and the red lines are after the big bore kit.
