I almost bought the bags korbenw7p3c has, they look great too.
Be careful harley makes two bags for the Fat Boy, his are the newer bigger ones.

I ended up going with Leather Pros model LP3200

Babs, I signed the petition, thanks for posting the link. I am in Fayetteville, where is Fletcher?
I had to think there for a second, which was kinda painful this time of the morning. ... I assume you mean the fairtax petition.. good man!!
Fayette-nam... cool. Fletcher is an outskirt of Asheville.

I like leather bags, but I dont like how they look when they age a little and start caving in and loosing thier shape. I like the look of leather bags on a bike, over the hard bags also (just my taste). When I bought my bike, the dealer was nice enough to order a few sets of bags that he didn't have in stock, and a few days later I was able to actually look at the bags and compare them to each other. The Rigid Leather covered Fatboy bags are very nice, and very stylish for the bike, but they were pretty small. The problem with the Fatboy is the shotgun exhaust doesn't give you much length, so you get a shorter bag, than like with a Heritage. I looked at the Softail Deluxe rigid leather covered bags, and they seemed quite a lot bigger, but most of the space is at the top, so its a little trickie using it. I'm a computer programmer, and I need to haul my laptop and stuff with me, so if I ride to work, I need lugguge to store my gear into. Not wanting to get stuck in situations, I like to carry extra gloves, glasses, sweatshirt, etc with me, so I don't get stuck. There are a lot of bags out there, just make sure you check the length for proper clearance on your FatBoy.

Lots of nice looking, good quality saddlebags here: http://www.bossbags.com/34s.html
The more I look at the Boss Bags, the more I like them. I have also heard great reviews on the Iron Bags. I don't think you can go wrong with either brand.

I have the HD leather bound locking hard bags on my '04 FB. Not sure of the stock no. off hand, but should be able to locate that on the HD site. I'm guessing they'd fit an '07, although I'm not positive. Here's a pic below. (I added the skull wing logos myself...) They sure come in handy.
