Default Removing headlight bulb, need help

Hey everyone, newbie here. I'm installing the aux lights on my '07 softail custom and I need to get into the headlight assembly to connect the wires. I've pulled out the scre on the bottom of the light but the ring won't budge. The owner's manual has instructions for every other light but the headlight. Am I missing something or do I just need to put some more strength into it? Any help would be appreciated!

The ring is held on, within the upper inside lip, by two pieces that stick up a bit which are covered with rubber. You just need to pull the bottom out and push up at the same time. Good luck with it.
