I am getting my sccot back this weekend after getting these things done: honed cylinders new rings new wrist pins new crank bearings polished intake and exhaust ports new valves cylinder base gaskets installed new air cleaner and crankcase breather all new engine gaskets oil change and filter
What is the proper way to break in the engine again?
funny you would ask that, I am pondering the same thing on a new bike. My parent live about 150 miles up the road and about 60 miles is like interstate, so I am not sure if I could do that or not on a new bike, probably 65-55 on the 60 miles until the stop and go traffic and mountains.
I would just hate being on the highway and have to get on it, but can't do to the fear of hurting the engine. I guess either hug the right lane, or just do local roads. Also, what rpm level=speed for my scoot and what should i stay below for the first couple of hundred miles?
CONSTANTLY change the throttle position, AVOID WFO until @ least 500 MLS
Should run real hard after that. 6 motors 120,000 miles NO oil burned Allways ran real well
