HELP! Need help with custom fender ideas. Pics inside.
I just got a fender blank for my 150 front tire on my nightrain and I want some ideas of how I should cut it. I'm not a very creative guy and have problems imagining what looks good together. Take a look at my bike and tell me what shape fender you think would look good. I also attached a picture of a fender I think looks cool but I'm not sure how it fits with the look of my bike. What do you guys think?

May I suggest you go into the Night Train Picture Thread and check out some of the bikes in there. Lot's of custom front fenders. I should be getting mine back from paint sometime this week.

What fender do you have?
Pfft, I tried that,300pages of BS.That nightrain pic thread is pretty much useless. That thread started out good, but the last time I tried to look at it all I found was endless rambling from the same five or six guys. It would take a week to look at all of it, and out of 300 pages, maybe, what, 10% of those are actually of pics? That threadWAS a good idea until it was ruined..

I would recommend going with no fender or a really small fender. With a fat front tire your bike is looking more like an Exile type bike -- which is definitely a good thing! Check out their website for some ideas. The fender you have as an example would be better on achopper/street type bike with thin front tires. Just my opinion ...... Keep up the good work!

dude, I think that would look **** on your bike. That's actually something like what I want on my train. If you do it let me know, maybe I'll pay you to make one for me.. Haha

Maybe follow the shape of an FLH fender with the wide tire. That's a classic look that never gets old. Don't know what a long fender with a 150 would look like, never saw that combo. This a Kendal Johnson fender with a 90/90-21 on my Train.

After looking at A LOT of fenders I've decided to try the long fender and see how it looks on the bike, then if I don't like it I can always make it smaller. The pic below is what I have so far. I know I know, t looks like **** right now. I need to make the finish cuts on the front and back, I just ran out of time tonight.
I checked out the exile site and DAMN those are some fatazz front tires! They use 5" wide wheels with 200 tires. Theykinda make my 150 look likeit belongs on atricycle. lol I do dig those small fenders too. I guess I'll just do some experimenting and see what I come up with...
