I have been thinking about a paint job, it is Pearl White, with Black Graphic Flames with Red Pinstriping. I saw one at my local indy shop and fell in love with it. I would have never thought about that color scheme, but it rocks. Anyway, The black flames will tie in nicely with my other black accessories (engine guard, A/C cover, Horn Cover, Axle covers, etc.).
I was thinking that while my tins are out for paint, I could get my oil tank powdercoated black to match the other parts. I also plan on powdercoating my rims and hubs.
Chrome calipers and rotors are in the plans down the road.
I also considered getting my A/C cover and horn cover painted to match the tins (white with black flames, etc.). Then I would put the skull medallions back on them. Thought that may be cool too (in this case I might leave the oil tank black).
Sounds like it'll look good - agree on powdercoating the oil tank too - my bars are out to powdercoat and I should have 'em back by the weekend. Love the balance some black gives to the chrome.
