Ok I have the oil tank installed and the black contrast installed as well. Now I have two month's to add some final touches. Here's some photo's to enjoy
I think it's a tricky thing to get a good balance of black and chrome, and you definately NAILED it!!! I love that your frontend is black, connecting to the black frame, going through to the black struts. I also like the painted oil tank which is neutral (neither black or chrome). I like that you left the headlight and TS rings chrome and that you have chrome bars and black controls. You stayed true to balance and consistency. Nice Job!

I like the red oil tank to go with the rest of the paint also. I have a black bike so I painted it black too. I really like the black front turn signals, but where are the rear signals? You using the Kuryakin Panacea for that function? Great idea.

Thanks WARG.. It was definately tough to decide what would stay chrome and what go over to black. I basically wanted to black out any part that would come in contact with the paint. When I did that it pulled out the black flames of the paint job. So I just tried to follow a line fron the front of the bike to the rear which went up and over the tank and down and out the rear struts.
So I'm keeping the motor and wheels chrome since thay are on the bottom of the bike. If that make sense.? It looks better in person!
"DannyD --but where are the rear signals? "
They are GEM LED bullet shape lights mounted on the strut. The come in black and chrome with 2 circuits. I used just the one crcuit for turnsignals.
