I am considering the newly announced P/N 74744-08 Combo Speedo/Tach with Color Matched Lighting for my 2008 Softail Custom. Can anyone tell me if all of the functionality on the existing speedometer (trip odometer, clock, miles to empty, sixth gear indicator light, etc.) is preserved on the new combo unit?

I assume you mean "clock", not "close". Do you know about the sixth gear indicator light?

I have this unit with the plain lighting...you do lose the clock but retain the 6th gear indicator.

i have the spun alum face one.. you lose the clock but not the trip A and B

you will lose the clock. Everything else is there including the 2 trip odometers. The colors are real nice. I just bought a new FXSTC and had the speedo/tach combo installed. Real sweet! [8D]

 

i looked at the HD speedo/tachs and ended up with the Dakota Digital model HLY-2004 it has trip a and b,clock,EVERYgear indicator,low oil,volt,and much more.i found mine at american classic motors(ebay seller) for $360 and shipping
