I traded my 1989 FLST for the new bones and so far after 1000+ miles no complaints.
I added factory bags withthe bareback quick release - very nice. I have also lowered the seat with 2" springs. Much better for my height and weight. I have a new rear full fender at the paint shop and will post a pix when finished.
So i said no complaints, well i have ONE, i dislike the plastic cover over the battery. Has anyone found a solution yet?
RE: Cross Bones ( under seat plastic battery cover )
I read in last months American Iron mag., that the plastic cover was all they could do, because underneath is the electrical. I have had my eyes open for anyone who is doing anything unique for this, but have seen nothing. Kiz
RE: Cross Bones ( under seat plastic battery cover )
There's no protection for the rain or moisture not to get in there either...... if you look in between the gap of the plastic and the rear fender... there is air space, and you can see underneath.... this is a worry for sure... I have not got caught in a down pour yet!!!
