I bought the Cross Bones as my first Harley and the first thing I did was ditch the seat. Not because I didn't like it but because I felt it sat me too high. I really love the way this bike rides and feels.
W/T/F As if we (my grand father and Dad) didn't help them out enough in the 1st WW and the second, now we have to pick there rides.
Thats actually funny
however it was kinda a dikheadish comment on a guy who has a common interest in American bikes and came here for legit advice on motorcycles.... not on a war or how they tuck tail when the shat hits the fan and what not
Maybe he should get a Honda Goldwing? They come with reverse....[sm=icon_quiet.gif]
I can't get it into my head how maddghost's ***** can hit the tank!? I have sat on the Cross Bonesin theHD showroom a few times and can onlyfigurethat his must be knocking his knees!
Anyhow, I'm selling my first Harley, a Sportster 1200 Low,to buy a Cross Bones. I really do like the agressive look of the Fat Bob, but the old school look of the CB just stirred up some primal emotion and I simply couldn't wait to trade in my old bike. I live in Singapore and the bike has just been offloaded from the container ship into the warehouse and isnow waiting to be shipped to the service centre for registration and oiling up.
I'll plan to give the stock seat a try, but I'm pleased to seethat there's an immediate alternative with the Brawler if I don't like it. Knowing that the Brawler drops the ride height down by about three inches, that probably makes the ape hangers seem taller. I wonder how that affects the ride position. To be honest, I can't stand long rides with my hands too high. I get the feeling that the blood is draining from my arms (perhaps that's the cholesterol effect though!).
I agree with Ole Coyote!!!!!!maybea kraut scoot!!!,,,,, they do better on cobble stone. Sorry for venting, been dixt over by the Frogs!!!!!!!!!!! Watch your back.....
