replacement bullet rear turn signals only have
one wire. My son called and is replacing his rear turns on his 08 Fatboy. Bike has two wires and new turns only have one black wire. Any suggestions for him?

It's just a hot, the chassis ground provides the return path.
but, i believe both wires are for brake+turn. IIRC.
You'll just have to break out the multimeter, hit the pedal and see which wire gives you 12v. Then do the same with the TS switch.

Sublime has it right. The hot wires should be brown and purple coming from thebike(I can't remember which side is which color). Conect the black off the new signal to the brown or purple, and fold the black from the bikeback, I'd cover it with shrink wrap.
