Default Fuel Line Routing

I'm building a 98 softail, and just put the tanks on and connected the fuel lines. I seem to be getting some sort of vapor lock. I can run the bike for about a minute, and then it dies. After that, I can't get it started until it cools back down. With the air filter off, I can see that I start out getting a nice jet from the accelerator pump, but by the time she shuts down, it's barely there. Does anyone have (or can take, or describe) a picture of the routing that the fuel line should take? The fuel line has to pass between the cylinders, but there's got to be a way to keep it from locking up like that.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

try running it with gas cap off before you move lines to make sure that you dont have a vented cap problem. if it runs with cap off then your cap is bad or its not vented.

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that. I pulled the caps completely off, and it still dies down. The top of the tank also has one hose that just vents to the atmosphere, so that's probably not it. Thanks!

You might have particule contamination, pull the float bowl to see if anything is floating in there. If your fuel lines are all clear then you might have a problem with theVOES. Check the vacumn hose it might not have a tight fitting. I put a small c-clip on mine because it popped off a couple of times during a ride up in WI.
Good luck.
