Thanks all for the advice - they EVENTUALLY came off after 1/2 hour.. \\; Just got to decide - Heat Shields or no Heatshields \\;! \\;The lower rush slash down \\;is showing about 1/4" of the clamp between it and the header shields but no big deal really.  \\;The shields will cover this up just can't get my head around best looking with \\;or without them - looks wise. here is with. You can tape on and see what you like, just dont start the bike. \\;Take some pictures. Compare and decide. I have removed mine and there were no scratches that can be seen but the muffler did yellow a bit underneath so they went back on. Also after a long ride they are cold enough to still touch and not burn.
