I went on a 600 mile ride last weekend and my butt was sore from the stock seat. Couldn't last more than 45 mins in the saddle before I got sore. Any recommendations for a good seat HD or aftermarket? I ride alone 95% of the time.
i'd check under them fatboy stock seat flaps for rubbing on the back fender... best remove that stock pos seat before it does more damage (same on 07 fatboys)
Seats are really a personal choice. I got rid of the Badlander that came on my bike after the first couple of thousand miles. Could never get comfortable for more than a hundred miles at a time. Tried a Corbin and a Softail Standard seat and finally got a C &\\; C Fastback and am very happy with it , almost 20,000 miles now.
 \\;
Try out as many as you can , everyone has a different \\;feel. Look ar Corbin, Mustang C &\\; C or Lepera \\;
I have the HD Sidekick. \\; I went to Laconia Bike Week \\;and put around 1600 miles on my bike. \\; By the end of the week my butt was killing me!!! \\; The seating position puts too much pressure on my tailbone. \\; The Sidekick is okay for 200 miles but after that it gets uncomfortable. \\;
prob selling the mustang because they are fugly and not that comfortable...at least to me, and
they are not exactly perfect fitting (matching up tightly to the tank, big gap) at least on my 07 fatboy (the vintage solo version)
and taking them off is a bitch n a half(for any work, checking of battery...etc)
tho of note, many people swear by the mustang seats.. I sold the one I bought from texasfatboy and the person whom
bought it from me loves it (vs. his stock seat) and his OL loves it too.
the corbin I have just put on is just flat out superior in fitting, looks, and yeah comfort..
i don't think its hard as some people will say before a brake in period
