Default First Bike....Help!

Hey guys,
&nbsp\\;
I just recently purchased my first bike about a month ago.&nbsp\\; When I purchased the bike it had a small leak just below the rocker box on the front.&nbsp\\; I had a mechanic replace the necessary gaskets I bought at the harley shop and so far everything has been good.&nbsp\\; The last few times I have rode my bike it seems like it is getting very hott!&nbsp\\; I notice it mainly from the right side of the bike and I rode it about 60 miles this morning and when I finished I noticed on the right side of the front rocker box I had a red like just where it bolts on or where a gasket would go.&nbsp\\; Does anyone know if the red line can be from heat or could the gasket be showing?&nbsp\\; I have noticed when the bike is running I cannot get an oil reading because the dip stick just has bubbles on it.&nbsp\\; Could this be because my bike is getting to hot?&nbsp\\; I would appreciate any advise you might have for this problem.
&nbsp\\;
thanks

The red showing is more than likley the gasket.
&nbsp\\;
What year is the bike?
&nbsp\\;
If it is a EFI model the high temps are normal with this engine.
&nbsp\\;
You do not check your engine oil when the bike is running... You check it when it is off..

Thanks for the information.
&nbsp\\;
My bike is a 1999 Heritage Softail and all I know about the engine is that its an 88cc. Evo and&nbsp\\;it is not fuel injection&nbsp\\;if that helps any.

&nbsp\\;That would probably be an 80 cu. Evo. I have a 96' Heritage and my oil temp runs around 190-195 degrees,&nbsp\\;on a warm day (85 - 90 degree)&nbsp\\;An oil temp probe on the filler tube is a good invetment, you may wnat to get yourself one. About $20 give or take a couple bucks.
