Exactly, never had problem. Well, I have seen rider's pant leg stuck on ordinary foot peg.

I cant see how people get their pant legs stuck on the heel shifter of their bikes. \\\\\\; Either you are wearing bell bottoms, or just wear pants that are just too damn big. \\\\\\; My last 2 bikes had heel toe shifters and I have never once gotten my pant leg caught. \\\\\\;
My heal toe was awkward at first....but it really only took several days to get used to it....I admit that I toe shift all the time....but my heal shifter remains....and I've never gotten my pants let caught on it.......
I love my heel toe. I rode a sportster the other day and gave a good hard kick to the street cuz i forgot i didnt have my boards and heel toe. but i have never caught a pant leg on the shifter. when i read that he got his pants caught on the shifter i thought back to when i was a kid and got my pant leg caught up in the chain of my bicycle. had a good laugh.
I was on a ride a couple of weeks ago with a guy that had a brand new Deluxe with heel/toe shifter. He was not used to it and hadn't ridden in a couple of years, and he ended up in the ditch with his bike, 12 grand damage to it, minor bruises on him. I removed mine off my Fatboy.
You are saying that the accident is caused by the heel shifter? Come on, if that's the case, either he should learn how to ride or get a lighter bike imo. He sucks!
I bought my wife an iPhone last week, she hates it so much, after she gets used to, now she wants to keep it. It takes time to learn a new product, know what I am saying? [\\]

I see some talk about 'extended levers', are these HD or after market? any part number or link would be appreciate. I did install the 'Floor Board Extenders from Harley Goodies' and they made a big difference... but I'm thinking if I can extend the heel lever 1" back, I would be set.
I grew up toe shifting on dirt bikes and have never used my heel shifter\\; just haven't felt the need. \\; It's still there though in case I change my mind.
