Heel shifting seems unnatural. \\; You have to snap your ankle and heel to make it work, seems easier to toe shift. \\; Good for finding neutral though.
Well, folks, I did it. I took the heel shifter off before I ventured out on my first real ride since getting my learners. I must say it gave me more confidence as my foot was comfortably planted of the floorboard. My buddy works for the school board and had keys to the back parking lot so I had a good practice session. Ned to work on my tight slow turns. It seems such a brute of a front end, I know I'll find that sweet spot and all will be cool. Can wait to get free of licence restrictions and ride off solo! Needless to say, my heel shifter is hanging in the shop and I'm off to get a cap.

Will have you doing those tight turns in no time. \\; But get yourself some engine guards first and wrap them with radiator hose.
I see some talk about 'extended levers', are these HD or after market? any part number or link would be appreciate. I did install the 'Floor Board Extenders from Harley Goodies' and they made a big difference... but I'm thinking if I can extend the heel lever 1" back, I would be set.
