Just looked at the new '09 FLSTC and the cosmetic changes they've done (IMHO) are ugly.[sm=wtf.gif] They changed the saddlebag styling, instrument panel, aft of the front fender, brake pedal, \\;and the floorboards. Glad I bought mine last year.[sm=shades.gif]

I like the new console and tank bib, but not the speedo. In fact, it was the one thing I didnt like about the Deluxe, that single digit speedo. I may look into replacing my console and bib with the 09 version if I can keep my current speedo.
Bag tooling is a push for me. Same with the half-moon footboards.
I like the old front fender styling better.
I dont like that Nike Swoosh on the tanks.
The color choices are, well, meh. Im glad I got my blue/black.
Perhaps I'm too old... (53) but when I look at the new lineup for '09 I see Harley taking on subtle characteristics of the rice burners... When just a few years ago the rice burners copied the Harley... Oh well... Just my humble opinion...
Most people change the looks of their bikes anyway. I think Harley is just trying to change things up a bit. Those that buy the new models will be happy that they waited, those that have the earlier models will be happy they already bought. Different models, different people.
I really liked the 2 tone red they offered in 08 and the 08 styling of the saddlebags is 1000% better, imo. Maybe I just got used to them in obsessing on it all year.
Just a quick comparison from the 08s, besides the cosmetic changes:

Base prices are up $54.00
Wheel Option is up $50 to $500
Freight dropped $30 to $300
