Bought the bike love the bike but that plastic ahhhh kills me anyone have anything wicked sicked modded up yet i think when i get back from my current deployment home on r&r ima take that to the metal worker and have him make me something or heck ill make my own sounds better to me any ideas?
Be careful with covering the area with metal. The reason HD made it out of plastic is the that the security system is mounted under it and needs to link with the key fob on you. If you put metal, the bike probably won't start or run. Check out White Guy posts. He made and has sold very nice leather covers that looks fantastic.

Does this mean that all the factory seat bases are made of plastic? I'm not sure if they changed anything or not.
Give a shout to White Guy, he made me a leather battery cover that is just fuc**ng beautiful. My camera **** to bed or I'd send you a photo of it.
Thanks again Ole C....
I sure with some of these people would browse the other postings, so I wouldn't have to post this over and over.. lol..
Here's the only alternative right now.. I have two left. The two I left have a leather pattern woven down the center much like the stock peice, but thicker leather lacing. I will sell each for $275 plus $15 shipping firm. If you have a bones, you NEED this cover. Here are some pics of one without the leather pattern down the tank..
and here's my cover with red sting rey down the center to the back fender. I can put sting rey on for an additional $100 and have a beautiful black sting rey hide at home.

Ok boys and gals.. My two remaining covers have been sold today. I guess the reason I wasn't selling em before was do to the site issues. We're still considering going into productions and producing a gaggle of these things, so if you are still interested in a cover, all I can do it take a list of people interested, and look into someone who can produce these. At 8 hours per cover to make, it's just too much for my friend to handle making. We plan on having plain versions produced, and adding custom touches ourselves such as leather lacing patterns, and exotic leather additions.
Congrats to the two who pulled the trigger and bought them. You're gonna love it..
