Thats what I have heard also, but you know the guys at the parts counter CAN be proven wrong. I have several parts on my 05 that they said won't work.
Somehow my last comment posted before I was finished. Was going to say I was told that about half the things I've put on my 05 wouldn't fit but have had few problems. Bought a leather side mount tool bag and the only reason it wouldn't bolt right on was the screw heads were a smaller diameter than the mount holes. 3 washers solved that problem so buy it, try to be careful so you don't **** up the part. If you can't make it work return it.
I have a set on a 2007 Road King Custom and have replaced them twice in the last 17 Months. The middle two lights are now going out but sometimes when you hit a bump they come back on. I have a set on a 2007 Springer Classic and no problems in the last year. Go figure
That's how mine started with the pump light going out first, then the last light.
Stealer told me they were out of warranty. I called HD at 1-414-342-4680. I followed the prompts and got to a nice lady who said that she didn't care if they were out of warranty - they should just work. She said she would call the my dealer and tell them to replace them for me at no charge.
Called the dealer yesterday and HD already called them and I have an appointment to have it taken care of next Friday.

I'm wondering if anyone has a chrome flush mount fuel gauge that the leds have burned out on that they would be willing to sell to me cheap? I would prefer the '08 model but the other would be fine. I'm looking for it so I could try to change the led color. I just want to know if I can do it without distroying it, and I don't want to wreck my good one. I've changed the leds in my stock speedo and it worked out good and looks awesome. Hoping I could do the same with the fuel gauge, blue doesn't go with every color! Why didn't they give us any options! If anyone has one let me know. Thanks.
Yeah Ive got the Chromes on a flat black tank and as already mentioned Ive had the little fuel symbol go out as well and the actual gas cap has come apart on me too.. I had to put it back together twice, Crap pisses me off! A buddy is on his second set cause the LED's went out so quick!... Install aint bad at all either
I have a chrome set on my Rock. The LED has burned out on two different sets now. The stealer it telling me they are out of warranty now. The look good, but IMO lack quality.
I concur with that... you will have issues, so you can easily change your chrome ones to black ones. They are a piece of junk that looks good. I have them on mine and buying a new gas gap (pop up fails) and new fuel gauge (LED's fail) is just part of the maintenance plan... like tires.
And Harley claims their products are tested over millions of miles out in the desert somewhere... sheesh...
I have had these on my bike for 8 months now with no problems. but after reading this thread im wondering for how long. they look amazing so im just hoping im going to be lucky as i bought them in the states and the stealer in edinburgh is a dick so theres no chance of a replacement. my fuel light comes on at 23 miles to go.
