"if they want your bike, they will get it" is a defeatest attitude.

A 20,000 volt shocker that the cops usethat attached somehow to the bikes mentalsomewherewould work just fine.

Insurance is the best security system. There is no such thing as an anti-theft system. If a good thief wants your bike, they'll get it.

Totally agree. You're going to invest $20K plus, the $250 for the security system is a drop in the bucket. I like how it disables the starter and fuel system so short of picking the bike up and hauling it off.....

Mine came with one but I never use it. If they want the bike, they'll get it.

I have them on both my Harley's. At most they are a deterrent. And unlike a car alarm, which sounds the horn and is locked under the hood, the smart siren has it's own built in battery, If it was wired into the horn, a thief could just pull the wires out of the horn.

Deterrent is the right word. They look for the easy mark, make it harder to steal and they'll go somewhere else. You guys that don't arm your systems make it easier for the thief so maybe they'll skip mine for yours. At homeI lock the forks, rear disc, arm alarm which disables the starter and ignition, cover bike, lock cover, arm garage alarm, lock garage, close the gate with 2 trained German Shepard Dogs in the yard. Yes they could still steal it but they'll more than likely look for an easier target. And yes it's insured also, just in case!

Right on.i"If hey want it, they will get it." Bull ****. I like my bikes as much as my other thinng and that is ike saying 'ake what I have, its yours, I will get more." The fact is, I get attached to things that I have and insurance does not cover it. I had rahter say "if they really want it, they are going to play hell getting it!" Same goes for my wife...[8D]
