Like the others here, I would (and will for myself) put in an alarm system. Where I live, companies will install for free and you pay them monthly for monitoring. It's a good gig for them and for me. If you put the system in it should lower your insurance rates too. Make sure you put in motion lights. @$$holes hate light. I love the idea of the rabid dog sound being triggered by a motion detector. If in doubt whether it's real or not, I bet they would get out of there and go to the next house.

 

Lock your bike to something stationary. Put an eye in the ground and lock it to that. If you ahve multiple bikes lock them all together as well. This will drastically reduce the liklihood of it getting stolen, but as the old syaing goes, "if someone wants it bad enough, they WILL get it." I also have the smart siren 2 on my bike and the pager.
