S&S 540 CAM kit
TBR shorty turnout
intake is a local guy here with his own patent road skull v twin performance
had a horrible tune from the dealer who installed the 131 but had them do it for vin reg and warranty issues
took it up to kevin at road skull v twin performance and bought his intake.
dip is from the exhaust with that lack of backpressure that kills the tq thinking about designing a baffle system to try and create some back pressure and retune as i really enjoy this exhaust
im sitting at 131hp 141tq lets just say she gets out of her own way quickly
looking into some options for the exhaust tbh the is is early an before general riding so its hardly notice
I have same 540 cam in a 128 Softail. I had a low end dip that was in process of being tuned out when I had an oil leak and had to cut dyno short. Tuner made one last adjustment, but he could not make another run due to leak to see what final numbers were.
If you like the exhaust, run it and dont worry about numbers, but I think it is leaving some power on the table. With a Fatcat, I am getting 140hp/155tq. If I ever change exhaust, would consider the FM riot 2-1, but on my last TC, I could never find a pipe that outperformed the Fatcat.

thats one of the problems the twin cam likes a more open exhaust. i do like the exhaust and the sound but i feel the same that power is being left out. but i plan to try and see about making a baffle that will ad backpressure before going after another exhaust. thats the cheaper of the options but otherwise i am looking at possibly a sp exhaust.

You don't want to add back pressure. You want to reduce/eliminate reversion. I installed DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts into my V&H Straight Shots with no baffles, and they eliminated the torque dip off the line (as you have in your above posted dyno chart).
