I was wondering if any of the resto of you have the same issue. My 2008 TC96 seems to start strange to me.
When I start it, (Its hard to describe a sound) for lack of a better description, it sounds like the piston hits the top of the head, but only once, thens it runs normally. Like it is REALLY lean. It doesnnt knock or anything aftr that.
Sorry for old questions - first real harley - It just didnt sound right, but if its a known issue, I'll jus tride it!
Hey - mines the same way...but either I dont notice any more or it went away (07 FXSTC). The first time I started it I called the dealer over and told him something was wrong. he told me they all do that with the 6 speed??? I didnt believe him, but figured if it blew up, I had a warranty so f- it. It's still running.
BTW - Try searching for answers to your questions first. Lots of information on here, and sometimes the members can be a bunch of crabby old bastards and give you **** just because. So weither searvch or be prepared...it's all in good fun though. Most guys here are more than willing to help.
